APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee,
to execute a contract with the Child Abuse Prevention Council, a Non-Profit Corporation,
for child abuse prevention program services in an amount not to exceed $569,412 for the
period July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$569,412: 40% State Substance Abuse/Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Grant (25%
Federal, 53% State, 22% County) [93.658]; 21% Federal Comprehensive Assessment for
Positive Family Outcomes Grant (CAPFO) (100% Federal) [92.670]; 13% Federal Foster
Home Licensing Agreement (37% Federal [93.658], 23% State; 40% County); 12% Federal
Promoting Safe and Stable Families (100 % Federal) [93.556]; 8% Keller Landfill Grant;
4% State Child Welfare Redesign (100% State); 2% State Family Preservation (70% State;
30% County).
BACKGROUND:
Contractor will direct and coordinate ongoing activities aimed at mobilizing community
resources and educating professionals and citizens to reduce the incidents of child abuse.

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
This contract supports all of the community outcomes established in the Children’s Report
