HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07212009 - C.102RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #74–198–8 with Early Childhood Mental Health Program, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $441,705 to provide Wrap-Around, Day Treatment, and Mental Health services for high risk, emotionally disturbed children, for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 36% by Federal Medi-Cal, 23% by State Early and Periodic, Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT), and 41% by Proposition 10. BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing mental health services in West County to keep clients with their families in the community and out of higher levels of care. Approval of Contract #74-198-8 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2010. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: This EPSDT program supports the following Board of Supervisors’ community outcomes: “Children Ready For and Succeeding in School”; “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing”; and “Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families”. Expected program outcomes include an increase in positive social and emotional development as measured by the Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS) and placement at discharge to a lower level of care.
