HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07212009 - C.89RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Haven Fearn), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #24–723–65 with Neighborhood House of North Richmond, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $422,560, to provide substance abuse residential treatment and detoxification services, for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 71% by Federal Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment (SAPT) Block Grant, and 29% by State Bay Area Service Network (BASN). BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing specialized substance abuse treatment services in a residential setting so that men and women are provided an opportunity to achieve sobriety and recover from the effects of alcohol and other drug use, become self-sufficient, and return to their families and community as productive individuals.
