The breakdown of costs shall be shared among the following departments: Risk Management: $255,410 General Services: $29,000 Community Services: $93,120 Health Services: $29,000 DOIT: $24,250 FISCAL IMPACT: Costs for this agreement will be funded as follows: 63% through the Workers’ Compensation Internal Service Funds and 37% through charges to user departments. (EORM) BACKGROUND: Environmental and Occupational Risk Management, Inc. is a consulting firm consisting of staff possessing specialized technical skills in such areas as indoor air quality, infectious disease control, industrial hygiene, as well as general and environmental compliance. It is requested that technical consulting in the form of two part-time environmental health and safety specialists for a total of four days a week continue for the following reasons: Consulting services have assisted in dealing with Occupational Safety Health Administration compliance inspections and responses on behalf of our departments. Facility and program assessments are being requested by specific departments, as well as ergonomic and air quality investigations. Development and distribution of federal and state required safety and training tools, continued training of loss control coordinators, and assisting in the implementation of safety/loss control programs for our departments. Department requests regarding research and interpretation of federal, state and local health and safety regulations.
