classification
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
support services are key components of the Mental Health Services Act, a three year
plan. Additionally, the appointee will provide leadership, assess the need for an array of
housing resources within the County, identify potential housing sites and negotiate,
monitor housing contracts and agreements, develop housing grant proposals, and
establish and integrate housing related plans and policies.
Human Resources' recommendation on the retitlement, revision and salary reallocation
of 2.9% reflects the span of control of planning and development of housing programs
and the level of responsibilities.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this request is not approved, the Health Services/Mental Health Division will not have
met its objective to plan, develop and coordinate housing programs for the County's
mentally ill clients as defined under the Mental Heatlh Services Act.
