HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07212009 - C.43RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE Appropriations Adjustment No. 5113 authorizing the transfer of appropriations
in the amount of $24,240 from the Office of the Sheriff (0255) to General Services, Fleet
Operations (0063) to purchase one Transportable Siren Unit for the Office of Emergency
Services - Community Warning System.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This action increases appropriations in General Services, Fleet Operations (0063) and
reduces appropriations in Office of the Sheriff (0255) by $24,240 in fiscal year 2008/09.
These appropriations are supported by industry fees collected under the Health Services
Department's Hazardous Materials Program.
BACKGROUND:
The transfer of $24,240 will allow for the purchase and integration of a trailer-mounted
mast for an existing Community Warning System siren. This investment will allow the
Sheriff's Office to leverage existing Community Warning System assets to achieve greater
flexibility and coverage for the County's public warning
