FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact to the General Fund. This action provides additional appropriations from unanticipated non-General Fund recognized Revenues and budgets them for anticipated expenditures. BACKGROUND: Flood control improvements were constructed in lower Rheem Creek by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) and Contra Costa County in the early 1960s. Storm Drain Maintenance District 4 (SDMD4) was established to fund the long-term maintenance of the facilities with property tax revenues. SDMD4 was subsequently converted to DA 127.
