Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Jeff Smith, M.D.), to
execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #26-573-1 with Dominic Ciotola (dba CPR
Training Center), a self employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $160,000 to
provide instruction of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) courses for selected Contra
Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Center staff, for the period from
July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is 100% included in the Health Services Department Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
On November 14, 2006, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-573 with Dominic
Ciotola (dba CPR Training Center) to provide instruction of American Heart
Association-approved Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) courses including, but not
limited to, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced
Pediatric Cardiac Life Support (APCLS) Courses
