HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07072009 - C.43RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Patrick Godley), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #23-074-28 with Foley & Lardner, a Limited Liability Partnership, for the provision of temporary legal services with regard to Medi-Cal audit appeals and other Departmental fiscal, administrative and litigation matters, for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: Contractor shall be paid a fee of not less than $55.00 per hour nor more than $690.00 per hour in accordance with the Contractor's usual and customary hourly billing rates for its services, as approved by the Health Services Director. The Contractor will also be reimbursed for travel on behalf of the County, as approved in advance by the Health Services Director, and for miscellaneous expenses actually incurred in the provision of services under the Contract. This Contract is funded by 100% by Enterprise I funds included the Health Services Department's budget. On July 22, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-074-27 with Foley & Lardner, for the period from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. Approval of Contract #23-074-28 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide specialized legal services, as requested by the Health Services Director, through June 30, 2010.
