HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07072009 - C.42RECOMMENDATION(S): Correct the Board Order which was approved by the Board of Supervisors on June 2, 2009, Agenda Item C.54, to authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Jeff Smith, M.D.), to terminate Contract #26-907-9 with Laszlo Tamas, M.D., a self-employed individual, for provision of neurosurgery services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, to change the effective date of termination from close of business on August 31, 2009 to November 30, 2009. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract was funded by Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: On April 15, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-907-9 with Laszlo Tamas, M.D., for the period from May 1, 2008 through April 31, 2011, for the provision of neurosurgery services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers. (Modification to Termination and Cancellation). Approval of this Board Order will correct the prior Board Order terminating Contract #26-907-9 effective close of business on August 31, 2009. The County and Contractor agreed to terminate the Contract close of business on November 30, 2009 instead.
