HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07072009 - C.34RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #74–083–19 with LaCheim School, Inc., a non-profit corporation, effective April 1, 2009, to amend Novation Contract #74–083–17 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #74–083–18), to increase the payment limit by $175,407, from $1,570,000 to a new payment limit of $1,745,407, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009, and to increase the automatic extension payment limit by $272,704, from $600,000 to a new payment limit of $872,704, with no change in the term of the automatic extension, through December 31, 2009. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 50% by Federal FFP Medi-Cal, 46% by State Early and Periodic Diagnosis, Screening and Treatment (EPSDT), and 4% by Mental Health Realignment. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) #74–083–17 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #74–083–18), with La Cheim School, Inc., for the period from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009, which included an automatic extension through December 31, 2009, for the provision of therapeutic behavioral services to County referred clients ages 0-21 years of age. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74–083–19 will allow the Contractor to provide services to additional youth through June 30, 2009.
