APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to execute a contract
containing modified indemnification language with GARDA CL WEST, Inc., in an amount
not to exceed $25,200 for armored transport services for the period February 1, 2009
through January 31, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% County General Fund; Budgeted.
BACKGROUND:
The Office of the Sheriff’s Fiscal Unit requires the use of an armored transport service to
pick up and deposit currency, coins, and checks for facilities within the Department. After
conducting a Request for Proposals via the General Services Department on behalf of
several County departments that needed such a service, GARDA CL WEST, Inc., was
chosen as the service contractor.
