FISCAL IMPACT: $103,000 Federal funding (CFDA #93.575) $4,304,040 State funding No County match C2AP-9010 / 29-213-4 BACKGROUND: California Department of Education notified the Department on June 23, 2009 of the 2009-10 funding allocation for alternative payment / CalWORKS Stage 2 childcare services. If not approved by the Legislature, this contract will be subject to a 3.5% reduction. Approval of this revenue contract will provide support funds for CalWORKS Stage 2 childcare services to program eligible children and families. State: C2AP 9010 / CCC: 29-213-4 CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: The Employment & Human Services Department Community Services Bureau supports three of Contra Costa County’s community outcomes - Outcome 1: “Children Ready for and Succeeding in School,” Outcome 3: “Families that are Economically Self-sufficient,” and, Outcome 4: “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing.” These outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood education, nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra Costa County.
