HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06232009 - C.84RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with Contra Costa Federal Credit Union, a Non-Profit Corporation, in an amount not to exceed $45,000 to provide auto loan services for the Keeping Your Employment Equals Your Success (KEYS) Auto Loan Program for the period July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010, and authorize the inclusion of a mutual indemnification clause within the contract. FISCAL IMPACT: $45,000: 100% Metropolitan Transportation Commission Low Income Flexible Transportation (LIFT) Program Grant. No County share of cost. BACKGROUND: The Employment and Human Services Department created the Keeping Your Employment Equals Your Success (KEYS) Auto Loan Program for CalWORKs participants who need a personal automobile to complete their transition to self-sufficiency. The KEYS Auto Loan Program targets CalWORKs participants and in coordination with Contra Costa Federal Credit Union, provides automobile loans for participants who meet loan criteria.
