APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment & Human Services Department Director, or
designee, to amend an Interagency Agreement with Contra Costa College District to include
updated California Department of Education Funding Terms and Conditions with no change
to the payment limit of $193,287or term July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No County match.
BACKGROUND:
On July 22, 2008 the Board approved receipt of funds from the College District to operate
Full-day Expanded State Preschool programs to program-eligible children and families in
Contra Costa County. This amendment incorporates the 2008-09 Funding Terms and
Conditions (FT&C) set forth by California Department of Education. The FT&C is
routinely updated to include new program eligiblity and document maintenance
requirements.

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Community Services Bureau of the Employment & Human Services Department
supports three of Contra Costa County's community outcomes: Outcome 1 - "Children
Ready for and Succeeding in School," Outcome 3 - "Families that are Economically
Self-sufficient," and Outcome 4 - "Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing." These
outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early
childhood education, nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout
Contra Costa County.
