HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06232009 - C.42RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT attached Resolution No. 2009/322 requesting that the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors grant formal recognition to the newly formed employee organization, Professional and Technical Engineers, Local 21, AFL-CIO. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no cost associated with this action. BACKGROUND: Members of the Professional and Technical Engineers, Local 21, AFL-CIO have petitioned and were granted informal recognition by the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors on January 13, 2009 (Resolution No. 2009/18). On June 16, 2009, the State Mediation and Conciliation Service has independently conducted a card check election and has verified the petitioning employee organization has met or exceeded a majority designation for the Units of Supervisory and Non-Supervisory.
