Cancellation Agreement #24–360–31 with Mental Health Consumer Concerns, Inc. (formerly Mental Health Consumer Concerns of Alameda County, Inc.), a non-profit corporation, effective on the close of business on June 30, 2009; and 2. Contract #24–360–32 with Mental Health Consumer Concerns, Inc., a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $291,026, to provide support services and training programs for County’s Mental Health clients, for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. This Contract includes a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2010, in an amount not to exceed $145,513. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing self-help and peer support programs for County’s mental health clients; operation of Community Centers in Pittsburg, Concord, and Richmond to provide social and recreational activities; and organizes and conducts County’s annual Mental Health Service Provider Individualized Recovery Intensive Training (SPIRIT). On January 27, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Novation Contract #24–360–30 with Mental Health Consumer Concerns of Alameda County, Inc. (now known as Mental Health Consumer Concerns, Inc.) for the period from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009, (which included a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2009) for the provision of support services for County’s Mental Health clients. In consideration of Contractor’s agreement to continue providing services, both parties have agreed to re-negotiate the Contract Payment Provisions and the term to reflect the intent of the parties as part of the Mental Health Division budget reduction approved by the Board of Supervisors on March 1, 2009. Therefore, in accordance with General Conditions Paragraph 5 (Termination), of the Contract, the Department and Contractor have agreed to a mutual cancellation of this Contract. Approval of Cancellation Agreement #24–360–31 will accomplish this termination. Approval of Contract #24–360–32 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services, through June 30, 2010.
