APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a contract
with Accountemps in an amount not to exceed $99,458 to provide Finance and Information
Technology services for the period February 17, 2009 through August 31, 2009.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No impact to the General Fund. Contract will be paid for with permit fees.
BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department is requesting to enter in a contract for temporary finance and
information technology services to fill in for necessary work assignments because of loss of
employees due to retirements and positions vacant.
Public Works Department worked with Accountemps through County Counsel to develop
standardized contract language for temporary accounting services. This has resulted in a
modification of the standard form indemnification language included in most service
contracts entered into by the County of behalf of a County department. Specifically, the
indemnification language
