HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06162009 - C.48RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Clerk-Recorder, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with Independent Printing Company (IPCO, effective June 1, 2009, to provide that the contractor maintain and service inserting equipment owned by the County, at no cost to the County, for the period from June 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010. FISCAL IMPACT: Annual maintenance agreement with a third party will not need to be renewed, resulting in a cost savings of $14,137.23 for the period July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010 with similar savings annually thereafter. BACKGROUND: Current IPCO contract requires the County to provide annual maintenance agreements on the inserting equipment, which the County owns. IPCO has agreed to perform all maintenance, service and repairs, at no charge to the County. County must pay for parts as previously provided. IPCO has been operating and servicing the equipment between quarterly preventative maintenance services since June 2003.
