HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06162009 - C.40RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Resolution No. 2009/265 to Approve and Authorize the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute an amended contract (HI-0809-07) with the California Department of Aging, to increase the payment limit by $27,165 for a total contract payment limit to County of $305,481, for continued Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) services for July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. FISCAL IMPACT: County to receive an increase to the California Department of Aging, Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy (HICAP), contract payment limit by $27,165 for a total contract payment limit to County of $305,481 (HI-0809-07). BACKGROUND: The Employment and Human Services Department provides Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) services to beneficiaries, including Medicare beneficiaries by virtue of a disability, and those individuals imminent of Medicare eligibility as defined by Welfare and Institutions Code (W&I) Sections 951 (a) and (c)(2), and to the public at large for HICAP community education services under W&I Code 9541 (c) (1), (4), (5), and APPROVE OTHER RECOMMENDATION OF CNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE Action of Board On: 06/16/2009 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER Clerks Notes: VOTE OF SUPERVISORS AYE:John Gioia, District I Supervisor Mary N.
