AUTHORIZE an additional $500,000 in revenues from the Contra Costa County
Redevelopment Agency, in accordance with the Contra Costa Centre Project Area 1984
Redevelopment Plan, and AUTHORIZE appropriations to the Contra Costa County Fire
Protection District for the replacement of a fire engine at Fire Station 2 at 2012 Geary
Road, Pleasant Hill. (Budget Unit 7300; Fund No. 202000)
FISCAL IMPACT:
No impact to the County General Fund. This action provides an additional $500,000 in
revenue for the Contra Costa Fire Protection District to purchase a replacement fire engine.
BACKGROUND:
The Contra Costa Centre Project Area was initially adopted by the County in 1984. The
Redevelopment Plan provided for the Redevelopment Agency to finance fire facility
improvements servicing the area. The Contra Costa County Fire protection District has
submitted a report documenting the benefit to the Project Area and the necessity of
