Subject:Contract #23–218–7 with MedAssist, Incorporated
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
2008 through December 31, 2008, for the provision of financial consulting services with
regard to Medi-Cal eligibility, claims, and administrative appeals.
Due to lengthy negotiations and a name change, the Department was unable to process the
renewal in a timely manner. Services were both requested by County staff and provided by
the Contractor in good faith.
Approval of Contract #23–218–7 will allow Contractor to continue to provide services
through December 31, 2009.
