HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06092009 - C.66RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Jeff Smith, M.D.), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #26-601-2 with Landrus Pfeffinger, M.D. (Specialty: Orthopedics), a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $125,000 to provide professional orthopedic services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from June 1, 2009 through May 31, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. Cost to the County depends upon utilization. As appropriate, patients and/or third party payors will be billed for services. BACKGROUND: For a number of years, the County has contracted with Medical, Dental and Mental Health Specialists to provide specialized professional services that are not otherwise available in its hospital and clinics.
