HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06092009 - C.65RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Jeff Smith, M.D.), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-563-3 with Total Renal Care, Inc., a corporation, effective April 1, 2009, to amend Contract #26-563-2, to increase the Contract Payment Limit by $30,000 from $150,000 to a new total payment limit of $180,000, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. FISCAL IMPACT: This contract is funded 100% by County funds. BACKGROUND: On September 23, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-563-2 with Total Renal Care, Inc., to provide blood services including, but not limited to, dialysis, renal replacement and apheresis therapies for inmates at the Martinez Detention Facility for the period from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. At the time of negotiations, the payment limit was based on target levels of utilization.
