APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute an
Encroachment Permit with East Bay Regional Park District, effective June 9, 2009 through
June 1, 2010, for the Marsh Creek Road Safety Improvement Project. (No fiscal impact)

BACKGROUND:
The Contra Costa County Public Works Department is in the initial phase of the Marsh
Creek Road Safety Improvements Project (at Russelman). It is necessary to conduct
environmental studies and surveys to determine the impact in the surrounding area before
the project can move forward. As requested by the property owners, indemnification has
been included in the permit.
