TERMINATE the emergency action originally taken by the Board of Supervisors on May
12, 2009 regarding the H1N1 Flu in Contra Costa County.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None
BACKGROUND:
Government Code Section 8630(d) requires that the governing body proclaim the
termination of a local
emergency at the earliest possible date that conditions warrant.
On May 12, 2009, the Board of Supervisors declared a local emergency, pursuant to the
provisions of Government Code Section 8630 on H1N1 flu in Contra Costa County. With
the continuing number of individuals exposed to and suffering from the H1N1 flu and
insufficient funding available to assist in providing outreach, care and assistance to
residents, it i\was appropriate for the Board to declare a local emergency.
