Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Wendel Brunner), to
execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #25–047–13 with Anka Behavioral Health,
Incorporated, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $204,360, to provide
support services for Contra Costa County Health, Housing and Integrated Services Network
(HHISN) clients, for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 47% Federal McKinney-Vento Grant and 53% Federal Substance
Abuse/Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population in that it provides support
services to County residents that are homeless and have a diagnosis of mental illness or a
dual-diagnosis of mental illness and substance abuse.
On June 17, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #25–047–12 with Anka
Behavioral Health, Incorporated, for the period from July 1, 2008 through
