Subject:Application #28-719-5 for the Federal Emergency Shelter Grant 2009 funding for the Adult Interim Hsng
Prog
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Each year, the shelters serve over 800 individuals per year – most of whom are
chronically homeless. The $200,000.00 requested in Federal Emergency Shelter Grant
funding is necessary for the operation of the interim housing program for adults. Without
such funding, the emergency shelter program may have to operate at a reduced capacity.
