HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05192009 - C.18RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 20687 adding one permanent, full-time Sheriff's Specialist position to the Field Operations Bureau-Patrol Division for assignment to the Town of Discovery Bay. (100% CSA P-6, Discovery Bay Zone revenue) FISCAL IMPACT: No net County cost; 100% CSA P-6, Discovery Bay zone revenue. BACKGROUND: The Sheriff's Specialist will perform crime prevention duties for the purpose of providing enhanced police service for the community of Discovery Bay. The Sheriff's Specialist will attend evening and week-end meetings and events as necessary and facilitate the Neighorhood Watch and other public safety meetings. Additionally, the Sheriff's Specialist will monitor crime trends and be the liaison with local public officials regarding crime prevention issues. The Sheriff's Specialist works closely with Law Enforcement to provide information for a safer community.
