BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) determined that we currently do not have the resources to complete this task due to the overall complexity of the project. The Public Works Department went through a consultant selection process. Over 100 consultant firms were solicited to provide a statement of qualifications and proposal to provide construction management services for the Bethel Island Bridge project. From the responses, five firms were shortlisted and interviewed. From this, Public Works felt TRS Consultants, Inc. were most qualified to represent the County. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If the Consulting Services Agreement with TRS Consultants, Inc. is not approved, it may not be possible to complete inspections or construct the project.
