HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05122009 - C.31RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to accept funding from Senior Service America, Inc., in an amount up to $172,264 as authorized by Title V of the Older Americans Act to provide low-income individuals paid community service and training as an entry into employment for the period of February 17, 2009 through June 30, 2010. (#29-287-0) FISCAL IMPACT: $172,264 County to receive funds from the Senior Services America, Inc., through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP) Grant. Non-Federal Match of $22,457. BACKGROUND: Senior Service America, Inc., received an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) grant from the Employment and Training Administration Division of the Older Worker Program, U. S. Department of Labor. This grant is authorized under Title V of the Older Americans Act.
