Adopt Resolution recognizing May 17-23, 2008 as Emergency Medical Services Awareness

BACKGROUND:
May 17-23, 2009 is National EMS Week, with the theme of “EMS: A Proud Partner in
Your Community.“ This resolution will honor local EMS providers (paramedics, emergency
medical technicians, first responders, fire fighters, police, and volunteers), as well as to raise
public awareness concerning health and safety issues.
