HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04282009 - C.32RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, (Jeff Smith, M.D.), to execute on behalf of the County as follows: 1. Standard Agreement #29-611-26 (State #09-9003) with the State Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development, to pay County in an amount not to exceed $34,410 for continuation of the Family Practice Residency Program, for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2011; and 2. Standard Agreement #29-611-27 (State #09-9002) with the State Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development, to pay County in an amount not to exceed $51,615 for continuation of the Family Practice Residency Program, for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2012. The County is agreeing to indemnify and hold harmless the State for claims arising out of County’s performance under both of these agreements. No County funds are required. BACKGROUND: Since 1978, the Board of Supervisors has approved subsequent Agreements with the State to provide funds for the County's Family Practice Residency Program. Approval of Standard Agreements #29-611-26 and #29-611-27 will allow continuation of the Family Practice Residency Program at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, including training for additional family practice residents for a three-year cycle beginning fiscal years 2009-2012. Four certified and sealed copies of this Board Order should be returned to the Contracts and Grants Unit for submission to the State.
