HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04072009 - C.76RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE the request of the Oakley Union School District & the Rollingwood Wilart Park Recreation & Park District to consolidate elections with Statewide General Elections. FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact. Costs and corresponding revenues will go down for odd year elections and will go up slightly for even numbered year elections. BACKGROUND: On February 23, 2009, the Oakley Union School District formally filed a resolution with the Clerk of the Board Office to consolidate with the even numbered year elections. On March 9, 2009, the Rollingwood Wilart Park Recreation & Park District also filed a resolution with the Clerk of the Board Office to consolidate with the even numbered year elections. By approving their consolidation requests, the Board is allowing the jurisdiction to share costs where their jurisdictional boundaries overlap. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The above local jurisdictions will not be able to consolidate with the Statewide General Elections.
