HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11271984 - 1.91 TO: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Contra FROM: Phil Batchelor, County Administrator +n C'�oOLCI DATE: November 27, 1984 County Allocation from the Special District Augmentation Fund for the SUBJECT: Replacement of a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Pickup Truck SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION Recommendation Approve an allocation of $17,500 from the Special District Augmenta- tion Fund (.SDAFj for the replacement of a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District pickup truck and radio equipment damaged beyond repair. Background On August 29, 1984 Contra Costa County Fire Protection District pickup truck No. 10 was totally destroyed by fire. The District requested replacement of the vehicle and radio equipment at a total cost of $19,500. The actual cash value of the vehicle and radio was estimated to be $2 ,000. Two thousand dollars ($2 , 0001 of the purchase price of the new vehicle was covered by the insurance process which involved the District paying $500 with the remaining $1,500 being charged against the insurance trust fund. The recommended allocation from the SDAF in the amount of $17 ,500 is necessary to provide the appropriate amount of money for the replacement of the vehicle and radio.
