HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03312009 - C.22RECOMMENDATION(S):
ADOPT Ordinance 2009-07, which eliminates the staggered terms of the East County
Regional Planning Commission and provides that the terms of the members are instead
coterminous with the expiration of the term of the County Supervisor who represents the
unincorporated community in which the commission member resides.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
On January 27, 2009, the Board directed the Department to draft an ordinance which would
establish that the terms of the members of the East County Regional Planning Commission
are coterminous with the supervisorial terms of office for District III and District V. The
proposed Ordinance 2009-07 provides for this change.
On March 17, 2009, Ordinance No. 2009-07 was introduced, the reading was waived and
March 31, 2009 was fixed for adoption of the ordinance.
