APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to enter into a contract with the Contra Costa
Community College District Police Department to pay the County an amount not to exceed $18,000 for after hours
police dispatching services for the period June 1, 2008 through May 31, 2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$18,000, 100% reimbursement by District; Budgeted.
BACKGROUND:
The Office of the Sheriff-Coroner will provide police dispatching services that are limited to law enforcement activity
conducted on Los Medanos and San Ramon Valley Center campuses. The service will include after-hours
dispatching, call taking, sending and receiving voice and data traffic, and answering 911 calls within campus
facilities as necessary. The Community College District will provide all the equipment necessary to facilitate the
dispatching services. This is a joint effort by the Sheriff's Office and the Community College District to provide safe
