Lango, General Services Director Department: General Services Division: Administrative Noticed Public Hearing: No Official Body: Board of Supervisors Presenter/Phone, if applicable: Audio-Visual Needs: Handling Instructions: District: All Districts Contact, Phone: Mike Lango, 313-7120 Recommendation(s): APPROVE Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment No. 5071 authorizing new revenue in the amount of $21,866 from accumulated depreciation and estimated salvage and appropriating it to purchase one replacement vehicle for the Office of the Sheriff-Coroner. Fiscal Impact: This action provides appropriations from depreciation and salvage for the replacement of one vehicle. The estimated purchase cost of $168,933 will be funded with accumulated depreciation ($15,866), estimated salvage ($6,000) and funds ($147,067) from the Office of the Sheriff-Coroner FY2008/09 Budget. Background: The Office of the Sheriff-Coroner is turning in three vans and purchasing one prisoner transport vehicle. This vehicle will reduce the number of vehicles needed in the detention fleet and provide the ability to transport more inmates with fewer personnel. The purchase will be funded with accumulated depreciation, salvage, and funds from the Office of the Sheriff- Coroner budget. The vehicles being replaced meet replacement policy guidelines.
