Recommendation(s):
APPROVE Appropriation Adjustment No. 5067 authorizing the transfer of appropriations in the amount of $6,982 from
the Office of the Sheriff (0255) to General Services, Fleet Operations (0063) to purchase a Toyota Prius to replace Vehicle
#5883 Ford Windstar van.
Fiscal Impact:
100% General Fund; Budgeted.This action increases appropriations in General Services, Fleet Operations (0063) and
reduces appropriations in the Office of the Sheriff (0255) by $6,982.
Background:
The Office of the Sheriff will replace a 1998 Ford Windstar Van that currently has 137,000 miles with a fuel efficient
Toyota Prius Hybrid for use in the Forensic Services Division. The current vehicle is not in the ISF, thus the need for
transfer appropriations for the department's operational budget. The vehicle meets the all replacement requirements and
replacement has been recommended by the GSD Fleet Manager.
