HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03032009 - C.48RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee (Donna Wigand) to execute on behalf of the County, Novation Contract #24–238–43 with Mental Health Consumer Concerns, Inc., a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $284,020, to provide a Patients’ Rights Program, for the period from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. This Contract includes a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2009, in an amount not to exceed $142,010. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population in that it provides a State-mandated Patients’ Rights Advocacy Program, including general advocacy and training services, Certification Review Hearing services, and Reise Capacity Hearing services. Approval of Novation Contract #24 238 43 will replace the automatic extension under the prior Contract and allowing Mental Health Consumer Concerns , Inc, to continue providing services, through June 30, 2009.
