SUBJECT: Appeal from Social Service Department
Evidentiary Hearing Decision
This being the time set for hearing the appeal filed by
Richard L . Moore , 2507 Hinkley Avenue , Richmond 94804 , from an admin-
istrative decision of the Appeals and Complaints Division of the
Social Service Department;
Kate Quisenberry , Appeals Officer , appeared and commented
on the job search procedure required of General Assistance recipients
in order to quality for benefits . She stated that the appellant was
also required to submit medical information and failed to do so .
Richard L . Moore appeared and stated that he had left the
medical forms at the doctor' s office , expecting that they would be
forwarded to the Social Service office . Mr. Moore offered no expla-
nation of his failure to submit the job search form in a timely manner .
Board members agreed that there was no new information to
disagree with the decision of the Social Service Department' s Hearing
Officer .
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the decision of the Appeals
and Complaints Hearing Officer is upheld on the basis of the eviden-
tiary hearing decision and that the appeal of Richard L . Moore is
DENIED .
