HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10021984 - 1.36 1� ORDINANCE NO. 84-50 (Medical Director The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows (omitting the parenthetical footnotes from the official text of the enacted or amended provi- sions of the County Ordinance Code): SECTION I: Section 33-5.313 of the County Ordinance Code is amended to add sub- section L1T_to exclude the medical director from the Merit System, to read: 33-5.313 Health-medical. (a) The director of health services is excluded, and is appointed by the board. (b) The county health officer (Health and Safety Code Section 454) is excluded, and is appointed by the board (c) The county physician (Health and Safety Code Section 1441) is excluded, and is appointed by the board. (d) The county [local] director of mental health ser- vices (Welfare and Institutions Code Section 5607, 9 Ca1.Admin. Code Sections 620, 621 [Dir. of Local Mental Health Services]) is excluded, and is appointed by the board. (e) The assistant directors of health services are excluded, and are appointed by the director of health services. (f) The manager of the health information systems is excluded, and is appointed by the director of health services. (g) Physicians and dentists serving the county (except those in the classifications of assistant health officer, and chief of community health service) are excluded, and are appointed by the director of health services. (h) The health services administrative officer is excluded, and is appointed by the director of health services . (i) The medical director is excluded and is appointed by the board upon the recommendation of the Director of Health Services and the County Administrator (Ord. 84- 50 . EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance becomes effective 30 days after passage, and within 15 days after passage shall be published once, with the names of the supervisors voting for and against it, in the Martinez News Gazette , a newspaper published in this County. Calhoun Board Chair [SEAL] ORDINANCE NO. 84-50 -2- ORDINANCE NO. 34 -53 (Director, Orinda Parks and Recreation Service Area) The Contra Costa Countv Board of Supervisors ordains as follows (omitting the parenthetical footnotes from the official text of the enacted or amended provisions of the County Ordinance Code) : SECTION I : Section 33-5. 325 of the Countv Ordinance Code is amended to change the title of the Director-Orinda Recreation Service Area to Director, Orinda Parks and Recreation Service Area , to read : 33-5 . 325 . Special areas. (a) The following positions in the Orinda and San Ramon recreation service areas (county service areas R-6 and R-7) are excluded; Director, Orinda Parks and Recreation Service Area (one nosition) ; Clerk - Orinda recreation service area (two positions) ; Caretaker - Orinda recreation service area (two positions) ; Recreation instructor - Orinda recreation service area; Recreation assistant - Orinda recreation service area; Recreation supervisor - Orinda recreation service area (one position) ; Park attendant - San Ramon recreation service area (one position) ; Caretaker - San Ramon recreation service area (one position) . (b) The public works director is the appointing authority, and he or his designee shall establish from time to time the full-time or part-time nature of these positions, including allocating persons hired as recrea- tion instructors to the proper class level and Day level on the salary range for the class based on the criteria established by resolution of the board.
