HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02281984 - T.3 �3 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA DATE: February 28 , 1984 MATTER OF RECORD SUBJECT: Ordinance No . 8 This being the time fixed for hearing on proposed Ordinance No. 8 of the Contra Costa County Sanitation District No . 15 , amending Ordinance No . 1 concerning requirements for connection to the sewer system, providing that the owner of any premises inhabited or used by human beings situated within the District shall, at his/her expense, connect said premises with the main sewer in the adjoining street in accordance with all applicable provisions of District ordinances and regulations within ninety (90) days after date of official notice to do so from the Board of Supervisors ; and Mr. Donald Thompson, Rt . 1 , Box 2836 , Oakley, California, General Partner of Leisure Landing Boat Harbor, appeared and commented that his property line is adjacent to the sewer line but that the washroom facilities are 2000 feet from the closest sewer, and it would cost thousands of dollars to connect these facilities , and if they are forced to hook up to the sewer the cost might cause them to close down their harbor, and they therefore would like to be exempt from the Ordinance Mr. Paul Kilkenny, Assistant Public Works Director, advised that there were approximately four parcels in the same area with similar problems and it is intended that each of those parcels will be brought before the Citizens Advisory Committee for recommendation on whether that parcel should come before the Board of Supervisors for hearing.
