IN THE MATTER OF HONORING PAULA RESOLUTION NO. 2008/492
TIPPERY FOR HER 35 YEARS OF SERVICE AT
WE CARE SERVICES FOR CHILDREN
WHEREAS, Paula Iippery was born 11.1 Junction City, Kansas on October. 16, 1937; and
WHEREAS, there's a line from a movie that says, "You had me at hello," and diat's pretty, much what
happened to Paula on Tuesday, October 13, 1972, when a neighbor asked Paula to go along with her
to volunteer at We Care Services for Children thinking she might like to see what it:was like; and
WHEREAS, from the tithe Paula walked,iii.t" alie'front':'d.o..ors.(same doors today, by the way) until she left
that day at 2:00 p.m., the.kids I rettvlmich.had_her wrapped'around dieir little fingers; and
WHEREAS, Paula Tipper f ended up: volunteering her'tittle two days 'a::;,�veek and began to fill in as a
