SUBJECT: ADOPT Resolution No. 2008/*** accepting the Preliminary Report for County Service Are -
30 and fixing a public hearing for August 5, 2008 to adopt the Final Report for the Fiscal Year
2008/2009 tax roll for County Service Area M-30, Danville area. (County Service Area M-30
Funds)(District III) Project No.: 7499-6X5569
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County FINDS THAT:
1. The Board of Supervisors declares its intention to levy and collect the annual assessments for Municipal
Services funded by CSA M-30 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2008 and ending June 30, 2009. The
CSA was formed on December 16, 1997.
2. The municipal services funded by CSA M-30 include extended police, park & recreation, and street
maintenance services provided by the Town of Danville. Additionally, the assessment also funds the
properties contribution to the County Service Area L-100 (CSA L-100) for street lighting services.
3. The Public Works Director has filed with the Clerk of the Board the Preliminary Annual Report. This Report
contains a description of the services provided, the boundaries of the service area, the proposed assessment
upon assessable lots and parcels of land within the CSA, and the Fiscal Year 2008/2009 proposed Budget.

RESOLUTION NO. 2008/
SUBJECT: ADOPT Resolution No. 2008/**�` accepting the Preliminary Report for Count
Service Area M-
30 and fixing a public hearing for August 5, 2008 to adopt the Final Report for the Fiscal Year
2008/2009 tax roll, CSA M-30, Danville area. (County Service Area M-30 Funds)(District III)

4. Based on its review of the Preliminary Report, the Board finds that:
(a) The Extended Services funded by the Assessment will directly benefit the parcel(s) within the
Alamo Springs subdivision.
(b) The cost of the Assessment on each parcel within the Development is proportional to the benefits
that the Extended Service will confer on each parcel.
NOW, THEREFORE THE BOARD OF.SUPERVISORS ORDERS AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Board accepts the Preliminary Report and opens the Report to public inspection at both the Clerk of
the Board and the Public Works Department offices.
2. The Board will conduct a public hearing (the "Hearing") on August 5, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in the Board of
Supervisors' Chambers, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California 94553.
3. The Board directs the Clerk of the Board to publish a notice pursuant to Section 6066 of the Government
Code of the proposed levy of annual assessments of extended police, park/rec, and road maintenance
services for County Service Area M-30 and the holding of a Public Hearing to receive community input.
4. At the Hearing, the Board shall consider any objections or protests to the Preliminary Report. If there is
no majority protest, the'Board may adopt a resolution which: confirms the Preliminary Report; finds that
the Director of the Contra Costa County Public Works Department, acting as the Designated Director, has
concluded that the Preliminary Report conforms with to the official assessment roll for the year which the
assessment will be collected and, therefore, constitutes the Final Report for the assessment; confirms the
Final Report; and authorizes the levy of the Assessment for the Fiscal Year referred to in the Final
Report.
RESOL UTION NO. 2008/
