SUBJECT: Contract with Cadillac Ambulance Service, Inc.
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION
Approve and authorize the Chairman to execute on behalf of the County a
contract with Cadillac Ambulance Service, Inc. in the amount of $275,000
in return for which Cadillac Ambulance Service, Inc. will provide emergency
dispatch response in Zones 1 and 2 for the period December 28 , 1983 to
October 28 , 1984.
BACKGROUND
On December 20, 1983 the Board of Supervisors awarded a contract for
Zones 1 and 2 to Cadillac Ambulance Service, Inc. but did not authorize
the Chairman to actually execute the contract. On February 7, 1984 the
Board further authorized the Director, Emergency Medical Services, to
allow Cadillac Ambulance Service, Inc. to amend the contract for specified
purposes. It is now appropriate that the Board authorize execution of
the contract, as amended February 7 , 1984.
