RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL TO
INITIATE PROCEEDINGS FOR FORM-ATION OF
COUNTY JNTY SERVICE AREA O. D-7
(WFEST OAKLEY AREA)
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
This Board hereby determines that pursuant to the KnoX-Nisbet
Act (commencin'g with Section 54773 ) of the Government Code, it
proposes to initiate proceedings for the format-ion of County
Service Area No. D-7. This proposal was occasioned by the
assumption by this Board, pursuant to Board Order of SeDtember
23, 1969, of responsibility for planning, regulation, 'and control
of storm water drainage facilities previously under the control
of the Oakley County Water District. The exterior boundaries of
the area proposed to be formed are as described in Exhibit "A"
and as shown in the map labeled as Exhibit "B" , both of which
exhibits are attached hereto and by reference incorporated herein.
The reason for this application. is to provide the area with
extended services of correction. of storm draina�e Droblems and
provision of proper draina,qe facilities in the area.
The name or names of the districts or cities which would be
affected by this application are as follows :
Oakley Fire Protection District
Contra Costa County Water District
East Contra Costa Irri,;zation District
Diablo Valley Mosquito Abatement District
Byron-Brentwood-Knightsen Union Cemetery District
Eastern Contra Costs Soil Conservation District
Oakley Sanitary District.

IT IS HEREBY REQUESTED that the Local Agency Formation Com-
mission of Contra Costa County take all steps necessary to approve
the proposal of the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County
and that proceedings to form County Service Area No. D-7 be
initiated. The person who is to be furnished with copies of th.e
Executive Officer's report and who is to be riven mailed notice
of bearing is the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Contra
Costa County.
The Clerk of this Board is HEREBY DIRECTED to file a certified
copy of this Resolution of Application with the Executive Officer
of the Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on December 15, 1970, by this Board.
