IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of Underground
Utility District No. 7, RESOLUTION NO. 7o/693
Danville Area.
WHEREAS the Board on May 12,, 1970 adopted Resolution
No. 70/282 establishing Underground Utility District No. 7 along Hartz
Avenue and San Ramon Valley Boulevard, Danville area; and
WINEREAS the Board on 3eptember 8, 1970 adopted Resolution
No. 70/579 amending Resolution No. 70/282 to defer conversion of a
portion of existing service to underground; and
WHEREAS the Public Works Director has reported that it now
appears the scope of the work as originally envisioned can be accom-
plished but that the utility companies have encountered unavoidable
delays and therefore request an extension of time within which to com-
plete the undergrounding work;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THIS BOARD: R1=LV8, D that Resolution
No. 70/579 is hereby RESCINDED.
BE IT BY THE BOARD FURTHER RESOLVED that the fifth paragraph
of Resolution No. 70/282p which established the district, to amended
to read as follows.,
"This Board hereby fixes 3eptember 1. 1971 as the date on
which affected property owners must be ready to receive
underground service and hereby orders the removal of all
poles$ overhead wires and associated overhead structures
and the underground installation of wires and facilities
for supplying eleetric, coramnication or similar or asso-
cinted Service within Underground Utility District No.,7
on or before November 1, 1971".
BE IT FURTHE11 RESoLVED that County Counsel is directed to
prepare An amendment to Ordinance 68-10 to Provide a method of modl-
fic&tion of district boundaries or reduction of scope of work,, etc.
where such changes mag be appropriate.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of October, 1970 by the
following vote of the Board:
