RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR CHANGE IN
ORGANIZATION TO ANNEX SUBDIVISION 3478
(SAN RAMON AREA) TO COUNTY SERVICE AREA M--4
Change in organization by annexation of Subdivision
3478 to County Service Area M-4 has been proposed by the
Board of Supervisors. Resolution of application for the
proposed annexation of Sub'divi>>sion 3478 to County Service
Area M-4 was filed by. the Board of Supervisors with the
Executive Officer of the, Local Agency Formation Commission
on September 8, 1970. The reason for this proposed annexa-
tion Is to provide said territory with the services rendered
by County Service Area M-4, namely , street lighting, street
sweeping,, and local parks, recreation or parkway facilities
and services .
On October 7, 1970, the Local Agency Formation Commis-
sion approved the resolution of application for the annexation
Of Subdivision 3478 to County Service Area M-4 subject to the
condition that the boundary of the territory proposed to be
annexed shall be as in Exhibit "A". The Commission also
declared the territory proposed to be annexed as uninhabited
and assigned the ,proposal designation as "Subdivision 3 +78
Annexation to County Service Area M-41' . The exterior bound-
aries of the territory proposed to be annexed are as described
In Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this .reference incorporated
herein, and are located entirely within Contra Costa County .
At 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 1970, in the Chambers
of the Board of Supervisors, Administration Building, Martinez,
California, this Board will conduct a public hearing on the
proposed annexation. At the hearing the testimonyof all
interested persons or taxpayers for or against the proposed
annexation will be heard, and any interested person desiring to
make written protest thereto must do so by written communication
filed with the Clerk before the hearing,. A written protest by
an owner of land must contain a description sufficient to identify
his land;, and a. written protest by a voter must contain his
residential address.
At the conclusion of the hearing, the Board of Supervisors
shall either disapprove the proposed annexation or order the
annexation in accordance with Government Code Sections 56320
through 56322 .
RESOLUTION NO. 70/685
The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to publish the
text of this resolution once a week .for two successive weeks
in "The Valley Pioneer," , a newspaper of general circulation
published in this County and circulated in the territory wherein
the proposed annexation is situated, the first publication to
be made not later than fifteen (1.5) days prior to the hearing
date . The Clerk of this Board is also directed to post the text
of this resolution on the bulletin board of this Board at least
fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date and such posting
will continue to the time of the hearing.
The Clerk of this Board is further directed to give notice
by mailing notice of hearing at least fifteen (15) days prior
to the hearing date to all persons and counties , cities or
districts , which 'shall have theretofore filed a written request
for special notice with the Clerk of this Board.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on October 20, 1970 by this Board.
