HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 09012004 - 70-678 IR THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS' OF C dR TRA; COSTA C OUNTy, STATE OF CALIFORNIA' In the Matter of Requesting } Council on Intergovernmental 3' Relations, State of 'California, } RESOLUTION NO. 701678' to Process County Application } for Federal Funds for Land Use and Transportation Study. } SEAS the County,of Contra Costa desires to provide for a planning study contributing to an aver-all program farfuture community development, the preservation of community values, tba prevention of conditions''' tending to cause' urban blight, and the promotion of the general health, 'safety, and welfare of its citizens, and WHEREAS tete California Council on Iztergvvernmental Relations under authority of Chapter 138, Statutes of 1969, may provide planning assistance for such'a prograIm and receive financial assistance from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Develop- ment,, as ,authorized by Section 701 of the Housing Act of 1954, as amended (Public 'Laws, 83rd Congress ); and NOW, TREREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of ;,.supervisors of ,the County of Contra 'Cost& hereby requests the Council on Intergovernmental Relations to provide planning assistance' as may be provided by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Develo Brent, under authority of Section 701 of the Housing, Act of '19T as awarded (Public Laws 860,, 83rd Congress); that such planning assistance is more particularly described in ;a project application'' on file in the Office of the Clerk of the Board and by reference incorporated herein; and BE IT FURTH RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa, subject to approval of such planning assistance by the state ;.and _federal authorities, hereby authorizes the use of personnel of the 'County of Contra Costs, for technical ass'istan" in this project, which assistance has an estimated' value cif,$134,C0©; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that,, the total estimated cost of the County of Contra Costars'' project 'as planned is $134,000; and BE IT ,BY THE BOARD 'FURTHER RESOLVED that 'hostas John >Coll., Chairman of the >Board oI'; Supervisors of the County of ``Centra Costa., be and he is hereby 'authorised and empowered to execute in' the name of the County all necessary applications, contracts, and agreements to implement and 'carry out the purposes specified in this resolution RESOLUTION 23O. 70167$ PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th; day of October, 1970, by the following vote of the Board: AYES.
